The Clinic has a number of devices that via modalities such as needling, light and thermal energy provide non-invasive treatments to lift, tone and manage inflammatory conditions.

Medical Devices

Needling

How does needling work?

Very small micro- needles gently penetrate the skin. This controlled injury stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, improving the appearance of the skin.

Is the treatment painful?

There is minimum discomfort with the micro-needles.

Are there side effects?

Following the procedure there may be some redness and swelling that can last up to 12 hours, but more serious side effects are extremely rare.

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and Light Modulation

What results can I expect?

Skin will appear fresher and rejuvenated after just a few treatments. IPL can be used in combination with other treatments. It can be used to treat ocular rosacea, rosacea, meibomian gland dysfunction, hand rejuvenation, broken veins and capillaries, age spots, sun damage, hyperpigmentation and wrinkles.

How does IPL and Light Modulation work?

These devices generate a broad spectrum of light to heat the dermal tissue without harming or removing the outer epidermal layers of the skin. This controlled injury stimulates the body’s natural wound healing mechanisms which then promotes increased collagen and elastin fibre production.

Is the treatment painful?

Levels of discomfort can vary from person to person, but the sensation only lasts while the energy is being delivered. Whilst there is no down time, your skin might appear flushed at first, and any redness should disappear within a few hours. Some patients feel that they se results immediately after their treatment, however, full results appear over 3-6 months as new collagen works to lift and tighten.

The clinic offers a free consultation at the Belfast clinic and treatments cost from £200.
